Article: Kristen's Weekend in Notting Hill
Kristen's Weekend in Notting Hill
Our Californian FLANNEL Girl, Kristen, recently spent a dreamy spring weekend in London wandering through one of our favourite neighbourhoods: Notting Hill. With its cherry blossom-lined streets, colourful townhouses, and effortlessly cool locals, Notting Hill has a spirit that FLANNEL dreams of encapsulating with every new chapter. A place where slow mornings turn into inspired afternoons, and every corner holds something special.

STAY
The Lost Poet
Kristen's pick for the most romantic sleepover spot is in a hidden townhouse, located at the end of Portobello Road. The Lost Poet, home to just four suites, with each room telling its own story. Carefully curated by local architects, the house feels like a secret escape, a love letter to Notting Hill's old-world charm and creative spirit.
COFFEE
Kuro
Locals swear by Kuro for the best brew in the area. A Japanese-inspired minimalist cafe that does coffee, croissants, and quiet moments perfectly. It's also dog-friendly, which made it even more charming in our eyes.
EAT
Canteen
Tucked away just off the main streets is Canteen, a no-fuss Italian delight. No wine list, just a simple selection of red or white, and fresh pasta that tastes like it came straight from a Trattoria in Tuscany.
Gold
Later that evening, Kristen slipped into something fabulous, the Aude Velvet Dress and Lexi Faux Fur Jacket, and headed to Gold for an evening soirée and a little kiki the following day. Seasonal dishes cooked over an open fire, and an atmosphere that entrances you to stay... just a little bit longer.
Home
And because no day in London is completely without a G&T, she finished the day at Home in Marylebone. A cucumber gin & tonic? The perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

SHOP
Turner Vintage
Kristen began her day with a stop at Turner Vintage, an iconic Portobello Road store, known for dressing the likes of Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. From 1920s flapper pieces to '70s boho gems, it's a treasure trove for lovers of vintage fashion.
The heart of Notting Hill
Portobello Road is a bustling street, offering an array of antique stores, local boutiques, and the Electric Cinema, a timeless movie spot. This is the perfect place to experience your own rom-com moment.
Westbourne Grove
Kristen strolled down Westbourne Grove, browsing some of her favourite brands like Diptyque and Aimé, alongside British boutiques Caramel and Couverture & Garbstore. A visit to SpaceNK was a must, one of the best spots for a beauty pick-me-up.
FLORIST
Wild at Heart
And of course, no day in Notting Hill is complete without flowers. Kristen wandered over to Wild at Heart, collecting a bouquet to carry through the streets. The scent of fresh blooms followed her all the way home.
Kristen wore her favourite FLANNEL pieces throughout the day, blending right in with the effortless yet elegant charm of Notting Hill. We're already dreaming of our n next visit... x
