Kristen’s home base for her Puglian adventure was the enchanting Borgo San Marco, a 1,000-year-old masseria nestled within a sprawling 160-acre olive grove. The property is a serene haven, blending history and tranquility with Mediterranean allure.
Surrounded by ancient grapevines and fruit trees, Kristen indulged in peaceful moments wandering the grounds. The Ayurvedic spa offered a restorative escape, while al fresco dining under the stars—featuring fresh ingredients grown on-site—became a nightly highlight. Borgo San Marco is more than a stay; it’s an invitation to soak up the soul of Puglia.

A Taste of Puglia’s Culinary Heart
Kristen couldn’t stop raving about her meal at Acquasanta, a charming restaurant set in the cobbled streets of Ostuni. Known as the “White City,” Ostuni’s gleaming whitewashed walls were the perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal of fresh, traditional dishes and natural wines.
From handmade pasta to seafood straight from the Adriatic, the flavors at Acquasanta reflected Puglia’s culinary heritage. “Sipping wine while watching the world go by in Ostuni felt like the ultimate dolce vita moment,” Kristen shared.
